Based in Cincinnati, Ohio, the Afrikan-American Drum & Dance Ensemble, Inc. (AADDE) began in 1984 with a handful of dedicated members whose unified goal is to educate and share the richness of African cultures.

AADDE promotes intercultural understanding by integrating traditional West African art forms with historical presentations, drum and dance workshops, and exhilarating multi-dimensional performances.

Our Mission

The Afrikan-American Drum & Dance Ensemble, Inc. is a 501.3(c) non-profit organization dedicated to the development of young minds, enhancement of self esteem, and transformation of lives through the power of dance and rhythm.

We have been fortunate to provide training, enriching opportunities locally, as well as abroad, and academic scholarship awards.

The AADDE youth dancers and drummers become high school graduates who lead productive lives as mothers, fathers, community leaders; many become college students, attaining numerous professional careers.

AADDE is committed to serving the youth of our community. We're very proud to see a generation of children come through our gates, blossom into contributing, confident, young adults.

Weekly Dance Classes

We continue to nurture and train youth at our weekly drum and dance classes offered every Saturday and provide an eclectic cultural experience.
